That’s right! Joshua and I are going to be a Mommy and Papa. I figured to write this blog since I have done so with my business and it was so much fun to have people follow me and comment on my work, especially threw this journey of ours. Joshua and I decided to start trying for a baby about 2 years ago. I had no idea how difficult it would be just to try for a baby. After a couple Miscarriages and seeing specialist and finally seeing my Naturopath, Wendi. We did it!!!!
Since living in Bend and having my own business everyone told me to take a break and stop stressing. I will admit I am a workaholic and I tend to over work myself all the time especially when I had my business. So Wendi told me in September 2010 (WHEN I started my Work with her) MY Mantra for the year 2011 is ” I am not doing that right now” OH boy did that help. It really gave me this amazing NON-STRESSED year to enjoy our last summer in Bend and Prepare for our move to Portland. So after many thought’s on restarting my Business in Portland, with no investors seemed like night and day without my husband and no money for a while. So I decided to get back on the line and work in a Restaurant. I interviewed for a couple of jobs and finally took one as the Executive Pastry Chef at Papa Haydn’s. Which has allowed me to have SOMEWHAT set hours and I am able to be home at night with my husband. So when the big move to Portland came we packed up the biggest U-Haul they had (NO joke, apparently moving your home and your business takes a lot of space). And we moved to St. Johns in North Portland. I started work shortly after that and Joshua went of many interviews. He finally found an amazing job at Portland Preschool as a Preschool Teacher. It is really the cutest thing and Joshua is so perfect at it. It has been wonderful especially since he works with two Autistic CHILDREN. BECUASE he is starting his Master’s program this June for Special Needs Teaching. I am very proud of him. He just graduated with his Bachelors at OSU this spring, so we are almost done with school.
Ok so we live in Portland, we both work and we love the city. So we were talking and we said early this year lets take a break get my body healthy and then we will start trying in December. Well apparently Wendi helped us more than we thought and for my 28th Birthday on the 28th (A very special year, dreams come true) I just wished for a baby that rocked and who would of thought but the next week we conceived. I have been tracking my ovulation and periods for over a year and I know exactly the day I ovulated and when we conceived. Which we just got confirmed that I was correct last week. So there it is, we are having a BABY. I wanted to keep it a secret due to our past history. But it is now almost the 12th week and baby Foxtail is Lively and happy. The Ultra sound went so great and we even saw Foxtail Jumping up and raising the roof, so cute. The look on Joshua’s face was priceless and the feeling I had was UN imaginable. I will be posting updates on me, baby and our life in Portland. Stay tuned.
